California Car Sounds and Tint in Campbell is proud to announce that the NAV-TV M650GM General Motors MOST audio interface is now available. Upgrading factory audio systems in General Motors vehicles just got easier, and more importantly, sound better with the M650GM. This interface allows us to install a signal processor and amplifiers in your vehicle to transform it into a mobile recording studio or live concert experience without any headaches or limitations. Keep reading to find out how.
The MOST Audio Bus
MOST is a data network that was designed specifically for transmitting audio information from a source unit to an amplifier. Up until recently, the majority of MOST-equipped vehicles have been European and use fiber-optic connections. In 2013, the Cadillac ATS and XTS included MOST communication but used a wired connection.
If you were looking to upgrade the audio system in these (and many other) GM vehicles, we had to process the signal coming out of the amp. With the NAV-TV M650GM, we can connect to the back of your radio and get a full-bandwidth signal that is free from equalization and signal delay. Your factory head unit performs like an aftermarket source unit, giving us full control over the performance of your system.
NAV-TV M650GM Connections
The M650GM includes a T-harness that plugs into the back of your radio. We don’t need to cut any wires or make any modifications. The unit provides front left and right, rear left and right, center and subwoofer outputs. Coaxial SP/DIF and fiber-optic TOSLINK outputs are also provided to allow direct connection to the digital signal processor of your choice. Volume, fader and balance adjustments are controlled by the factory radio and steering wheel controls.
Seamless Integration
The M650GM seamlessly integrates factory warning chimes and turn-signal information. OnStar communications continue to function normally. The bass control on your factory radio is remapped to function as dedicated subwoofer level control. This lets you turn up the bass without altering the performance of the smaller speakers in the system.
Compatible Vehicles
The M650GM is compatible with most Cadillac CUE IO5 and IO6 systems, as well as GM MyLink IO4, IO5 and I05 systems. Applications include many Cadillac ATS, CT6, CTS, ELR, Escalade, SRX, XT5 and XTS models from 2013 and up. Most GMC Sierra, Yukon and Canyon trucks from 2014 and up are also covered. Finally, Chevrolet Camaro, Colorado, Corvette, Impala, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe vehicles from 2014 and up with compatible source units are covered.
